Maricopa Films, owned by Chuck Disney. is a contributor of independent films committed to producing a minimum of two projects per year. Our objective is to use well-written and interesting scripts to produce thrilling, suspenseful, even humorous films. The intention is to make the films, TV Shows, and Documentaries look and feel like foreign films, which are usually more artistic and character driven than the big budget Hollywood studio formula that has been main-stay of American filmmaking! It is obvious that independent filmmaking is a desired commodity with the enormous success of Sundance Independent Film Festival! The majority of our films will be shot in Arizona, using Arizona film crew, supporting cast/extras, and facilities.
Our first horror film, PORTAL, staring Kevin Dobson (The Bold and the Beautiful - TV Series) and Chris Conrad (Young Hercules - TV Series) was nominated for Best Film at SHOCKERFEST, and has been recognized at other film festivals around the world.
